A collaborative initiative between the National Cancer Society of Malaysia (NCSM) and Sunway University — uniting professionals to advance cancer research, treatment, survivorship and advocacy.
The National Cancer Society of Malaysia
The National Cancer Society of Malaysia (NCSM) is the first non-profit cancer organisation in Malaysia, providing education, care and support services for people affected by cancer and the general public.
Established in 1966, NCSM is a tax-exempt charity registered under the Malaysian Societies Act, financed entirely by contributions and donations from the public. NCCM is convened together with Sunway University.

Scientific scope
Prevention
Cancer prevention, risk reduction, health promotion, vaccination, lifestyle interventions, environmental and occupational risk factors, and community-based prevention initiatives.
Screening & Diagnosis
Cancer screening, early detection, diagnostic pathways and tools, referral systems, barriers to timely diagnosis, and strategies to improve screening uptake.
Treatment
Clinical management, surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy, multidisciplinary care, treatment access and outcomes, and innovations in care delivery.
Survivorship
Life after diagnosis and treatment, rehabilitation, psychosocial support, quality of life, return to work, long-term follow-up, palliative and supportive care, and caregiver support.
Public Health, Policy & Advocacy
Cancer control policies, health systems, health equity, financing, access to care, community engagement, patient advocacy, implementation research, and population-level cancer control.
